Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB)
Annual Food Drive at 171 17th Street
Barrels for food collection will be placed in the P-1, P-2 and P-3 parking garage elevator lobbies.
Please participate by donating non-perishable goods to this worthy cause.
Items that can be donated are as follows:
- Canned meat and fish
- Powdered and evaporated milk
- Dry cereal and oatmeal
- Peanut butter
- Rice and Pasta
- Canned fruits and veggies
- Canned soups
- Macaroni and cheese
- Dried beans
Perishable food items, baby food/formula and glass containers are not acceptable
The Atlanta Community Food Bank began in 1979 as an emergency food provider in the basement
of the St. Lukes Episcopal Church in downtown Atlanta. Today the organization has become a fixture
in the community with 129,600 square feet of warehouse space, distributing more than 22 million
pounds of food each year to over 800 nonprofit partner agencies. The Food Bank supports a wide
range of people in need from children to the working poor. Food pantries, community kitchens,
childcare centers, night shelters, and senior centers are among the agencies that receive products
from the ACFB and provide food and other critical resources to low income Georgians who suffer
